Pharmacology is a branch of medicine that deals the medications and devices; how it interacts with the human body producing therapeutic and adverse effects.

Department of pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka was established in 2021. Department participates in MBBS undergraduate training program for the medical students, mentoring the students and conducting many types of research. We have clinical rotations for medical students where they get practical exposure to drugs and devices used in management. Further, our department has a well-equipped skills lab which allows us to conducted practicals on drug delivery and administration.
