She is a graduate from Faulty of Medicine University of Sri Jayawardhanapura with MBBS Degree. She has been working in the Professorial Units of Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Intern House officer in Kurunegala Teaching Hospital and a Medical officer in Dambadeniya Hospitals before joining this faculty. Her research interest is in the field of Immunology.
