To commemorate the World Elders’ Day 2020, an almsgiving function was organized by the students of faculty of Medicine. It was conducted at the Jayamanna Memorial Elders’ Home at Labuyaya for the second consecutive year on 1st of October 2020.
The students of the first and second batches along with the staff of the Faculty of medicine under the guidance of Dr Dammika Gunaratna, participated at this event. The highlights were religious observances, serving the dinner and distributing gifts.
The event concluded with paying respect to the elders by worshipping them creating a moment of joy that could always be cherished.
