Our faculty was buzzing with excitement on 7 th April 2021, when we opened our new library building. After the traditional chanting of pirith, a simple ceremony was held with the participation of senior Prof. Udith K. Jayasinghe; the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. PGCS Bowatte; the Dean of the faculty, faculty staff and the students to celebrate the opening. During this ceremony, an e-repository, Wayamba University Institutional Repository (WUiR) was launched by the Vice-Chancellor to create global visibility and accessibility to the collective output of scholarly research.
