The 2nd installation ceremony of Rotaract Club of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka was held on 5th of September 2020 at the newly established Medical faculty of Wayamba university of Sri Lanka, Labuyaya premises. Rtr. Kumuthu Wijayasuriya was collared President by the outgoing President Rtr. Pabasara Herath. This ceremony,sponsored by Rotary Club of Kurunegala ,went down in Rotaract history of Sri Lanka as the installation ceremony with the highest number of member participation.

It was mentioned that the projects contributed by the Rotaract club has gained huge success in the charter year namely; project pirisidu samanola, joint project Pradeepalokaya, Annual Blood donation drive and the Covid 19 awareness project. As the charter year, Improving club membership was a major focus, thus to enhance the awareness about the club’s perspective and to make this movement more popular among the fellow faculties of the university.

The newly inducted president addressed the gathering for the 1st time as President and mentioned the responsibilities and experience she had last year as a rotaractor and the achieving of goals with the unity and enthusiasm of the club members in the great platform of Rotaract.
The District Rotaract Representative Rtr. Kasun Sigera, Guest of Honor Dr. Manjula Wickramasinghe, Head, Department of Mechanical and manufacturing Technology, Faculty of Technology, by the Chief guest Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow Edmund Kularathna, and District Rotaract Chair Rotarian Amjath Yousuf also participated in the event and addressed and shared their valuable opinions with the gathering.
The event was colored by the melodious vocals of the rotaract members of Faculty of Medicine.
